i honestly can’t wait for the summer. i really need some time off. because i had a science fair, i still have an ap physics make up test to study for, and my english class, my only b, is still lots of work and we have a major paper due.

we developed photos in photography class finally! it was so elating, because it seems like so much has to go right for that to really work out, so it was pretty awesome.

i made two relatively big prints of two of my friends. both i really like for different reasons. one is really sharp and clear, the other is compositionally interesting, but i was using a crappy automatic camera because i had left my good one at home that day so it’s not super clear; which happens a lot. i have trouble finding time to take pictures, and i also don’t take the good dual camera places because i find it a little embarrassing to carry around, which i know is stupid, but so many people just seem to carry their cameras as accessories, which i don’t want to be associated with, even though i shouldn’t care if other people think i’m shallow. also i’m sure they would find some reason to think that anyway so it matters not.

hopefully after this week i’ll have more time to shoot.

i’m at a science fair at penn state. it’s quite depressing around here. if we were on a farm like everywhere around here it wouldn’t be, what’s depressing is the campus sprawl, and that the only organic thing in the cafeteria is soymilk. the school is huge. i hate that everyone looks the same, all the buildings look the same, even all the little flower plots look the same. the flowers are perfect, but the same. i’d rather disorganized flowers, flowers all over the place, flowers with clashing colors, flowers invading the perfectly manicured grass.
